Dr. Lareina Yeung
Dr. Yeung received her Honours Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees from the University of Waterloo in 2003. After graduation, she joined Queensway Optometric Centre, where she now practices full time. In addition to English, she can also speak French and Cantonese.

As an active member of her profession, Dr. Yeung served seven years on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Association of Optometrists. She participated and chaired various committees and spent her final year as Vice President. She has also been the Ontario representative for the Canadian Association of Optometrists where she co-chaired of the National Children’s Vision Initiative.

Dr. Yeung enjoys seeing patients of all ages. She has a passion for children’s vision and played an integral role in bringing the “Eye See, Eye Learn” program to Peel and Ontario’s junior kindergarten students. She has interests in contact lenses, laser surgery comanagement, ocular pathology and is certified to prescribe therapeutic pharmaceutical agents.

One of Dr. Yeung’s passions is travelling, which also includes providing eye care in third world countries. She has participated in eye care missions to Jamaica, Tunisia, Morocco, Ecuador and Peru and hopes to continue volunteering in the future.

In her free time she enjoys the outdoors, yoga, salsa dancing and scrapbooking.
