Our Practice in Mississauga

Dr. Falke graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 1978 and began practicing at Queensway Optometric Centre upon graduation. In 2001 he became certified in the use of therapeutic pharmaceutical agents.

He has spent time as a clinical supervisor at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry. Dr. Falke is an active member of the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Optometry. He has served as a consultant on several eye care advisory panels during his career and participated in clinical trials for several contact lens and pharmaceutical companies.

Dr. Falke has a particular interest in contact lenses and sports vision and had the opportunity to provide sports vision assessments at the 1994 Winter Olympics. He is presently one of the team optometrists for the Toronto Argonauts. Dr. Falke works closely with the TLC Laser Centre to provide co-management of laser vision correction. He has also cultivated a close working relationship with several Mississauga ophthalmologists and family physicians.

Dr. Falke and his wife Debbie have 2 children: Karen and Ashley.

Dr. Chan completed the first 2 years of a Bachelor of Science program at the University of Toronto (Mississauga) before graduating as an optometrist from the Doctor of Optometry program at the University of Waterloo. Upon graduation, he joined the Queensway Optometric Centre team and continued his studies at York University. 2 years later, he graduated with a Masters of Business Administration (MBA).

Dr. Chan also completed additional training in the use of therapeutic pharmaceutical agents and passed the International Association of Boards of Examiners in Optometry (IAB) examination for the Treatment and Management of Ocular Diseases.

Though Dr. Chan provides comprehensive eye and vision care for patients of all ages, his areas of interest include diabetic patients, patients with ocular pathology, children, and contact lens wearers.

In addition to his work at Queensway Optometric Centre, Dr. Chan remains an active volunteer in the field of optometry. He has served as President of the Vision Institute of Canada, a nonprofit optometric clinic in Toronto, and was also President of the Ontario Association of Optometrists. Dr. Chan has shared knowledge and expertise at numerous conferences as a guest speaker. His work has been featured in several television interviews and print articles.

In his spare time, Dr. Chan is an avid traveller and has set foot on all 7 continents, including Antarctica, which he visited in 2005. He loves the great outdoors and finds particular joy in snowboarding and photography.

Dr. Yeung graduated with her Honours Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees from the University of Waterloo in 2003. Upon graduation, she joined the team at Queensway Optometric Centre (QOC). In addition to her work at QOC, Dr. Yeung served on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO) for 7 years, where she chaired and participated in various committees. Dr. Yeung spent her final year at the OAO as Vice President and is a recipient of the OAO President’s Award for her outstanding contribution to the profession.

Dr. Yeung has also served as the Ontario representative for the Canadian Association of Optometrists, where she co-chaired the National Children’s Vision Initiative.

Though Dr. Yeung enjoys working with patients of all ages, her particular area of interest is children’s vision. She played an integral role in bringing the “Eye See, Eye Learn” program to junior kindergarten students in Ontario and has also become passionate in the area of Myopia Control in children.  Other interests include contact lenses, laser surgery co-management, and ocular pathology. She is certified to prescribe therapeutic pharmaceutical agents.

Dr. Yeung has combined her love of optometry with her love of travel and has expanded access to eye care in developing countries. She has participated in eye care missions to Jamaica, Tunisia, Morocco, Ecuador, and Peru.

When she is not working or volunteering, Dr. Yeung enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, practicing Yoga and Salsa dancing. She is also able to communicate in Cantonese.

Dr. Stafford graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2008 with her Honours Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees and was on the Dean’s Honours List. She also completed an ocular disease internship at Scarborough Eye Associates. Upon graduation, she worked at the Bramalea Optometric Clinic for 2 years before joining the Queensway Optometric Centre team in 2010.

Though Dr. Stafford enjoys providing comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages, her areas of interest are laser refractive surgery and children’s vision. She is actively involved in Ontario Association of Optometrists Eye See, Eye Learn program. This program emphasizes the importance of regular eye exams for children in junior kindergarten and thereafter.

Dr. Stafford and her husband have 2 daughters: Katelyn and Makayla. She enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, and playing sports.

Dr. Ranieri graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Yale University in 2008 and received her Doctor of Optometry with Honours from Nova Southeastern University in 2016. She was born and raised in Waterloo, and is happy to be part of the Mississauga team at Queensway Optometric Centre since 2016.

Though Dr. Ranieri enjoys providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages, her particular areas of interest are in dry eye management, ocular pathology, contact lenses and pediatrics.
She is a volunteer Optometrist with the Eye See, Eye Learn Program, which emphasizes the importance of regular eye exams for children prior to junior kindergarten and thereafter.

Before she began pursuing a career in optometry, Dr. Ranieri was a professional squash player, competing in tournaments around the world and winning the Canadian Women’s Championship and NCAA Championship. The highlight of her squash career was earning three medals, including a team gold medal at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2008.

Dr. Ranieri enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, Madison and Wesley. She also enjoys traveling, swimming and cycling outdoors.

Dr. Chan received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University in 2019, with high distinction, after completing his Bachelor of Science degree at Western University. Dr. Chan completed externships in Michigan at Aleda E. Lutz Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Andersen Eye Associates, and Duane L. Waters Hospital at the Jackson State Penitentiary. He provided comprehensive eye exams, managed ocular diseases, and fit different contact lens modalities.

Dr. Chan holds licenses to practise optometry in both Ontario and the State of Michigan and is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists. Dr. Chan provides eye exams to patients of all ages with a particular interest in contact lenses and ocular disease.

When he is not working, he enjoys playing a wide variety of sports, his favourites being tennis and basketball. He looks forward to serving the Queensway Optometric Centre community.

Dr. Black graduated with a Bachelor of Life Science from Nova Southeastern University in 1999 and received his Doctorate in Optometry from Nova Southeastern University in 2009. He earned a Bachelor degree in Vision Science during graduate school and was awarded an athletic scholarship for cross country running at Nova. He was also voted Student Life Student of the Year in 1997 at the same school. Dr. Black enjoys seeing patients of all ages. He loves providing optometric care involving all aspects of the field, but is most interested in Glaucoma Care, Ocular Pathology, AMD, and Diabetic Retinopathy. He has a 10 year old daughter and a 20 year old son in University. Born and raised in Cambridge, Dr. Black spends his free time playing golf, hockey, and softball. He is a big supporter of the local professional sports teams and his community.

Dr. Mehtab Mann graduated from McMaster University with an Honours BSc in Life Sciences in 2009. She attended Aston University in Birmingham, U.K. where she completed her Optometry degree in 2013. After completing her pre-registration training in London and partaking in ophthalmological rotations at Whipps Cross Hospital she returned home to complete the International Optometric Bridging Program at the University of Waterloo in 2015.

Since then, she has become a mother to two little boys and has been working in private practice in Barrie, Ontario. She is excited to join the team at Queensway Optometric Centre and plant roots in Mississauga! Dr. Mann enjoys seeing patients of all ages and in particular working with children. Her optometric interests include contact lenses and ocular disease. Dr. Mann is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists.

Her interests outside of work include hiking, cooking and spending time with her husband, kids and german shepherd, Bullet.

Terri has been an integral part of the Queensway Optometric Centre team since 2000 and has worked in the eye care industry for over 20 years. As our office manager, she prides herself on providing excellent customer service to all of our patients. She enjoys travelling to new places and spending time with her family.
